Soft Touch director on the run for a year

When Joe Crofton decided to take on a marathon charity challenge, he decided one just was not enough. Instead, the father-of-three is going to take on eight – more than 200 miles – to raise funds for Leicester’s Soft Touch Arts and national charity Youth Music.

He is already in training for the first marathon in May and will run in various marathons – one a month – until December 2014.
The 37-year-old said he caught the running bug after completing the Bosworth half-marathon last year. “I only started running last year and I loved it,” said Joe, of Glen Parva.
