The project to develop the DVD has been led by Leicester City Council’s youth service, supported by Soft Touch Arts, as part of their Big Up New Parks programme.
City Councillor Vi Dempster said:
“This project stands out because young people have driven every part of it – from coming up with a topic to running their own launch event at Curve.
“It’s fantastic to see a group of young people who are so committed to improving the community they live in.”
The DVD will be used initially in the New Parks area, but there are plans to distribute it more widely to schools and youth groups in other parts of the city, as well as releasing it online.
