For those businesses that want to show their commitment to making a difference in local communities, choosing to support Soft Touch Arts as your charity of choice means you will be helping to make a difference to young people who are have barriers to achieving because of their life circumstances. We work with over 1000 young people each year, opening up opportunities to engage with the cultural life of the city. We also work with 100 or so young people that have very difficult and challenging lives because they are in care, live in poverty, have special learning and behaviour needs, are socially isolated or have a disability. Our welcoming staff and specially designed creative programmes help them have a sense of purpose and offer an alternative way of learning and developing new skills, confidence and social networks.
We need the support of local businesses to keep running our creative and life skills programmes which help young people with challenging lives develop life and social skills that will help them move into education and employment and to live happier and healthier lives.
