Generation ART, a touring exhibition of young people’s art, that exhibited at Soft Touch Arts and New Walk Gallery from 15th January – 6th March 2016. The aim of Generation ART is for children and young people to be involved in a high quality exhibition at all stages, as curators, artists, audiences and champions.

Each month we feature a business that has chosen to work with us to help create brighter futures for disadvantaged young people in Leicestershire.

On Thursday November 5, the White Peacock worked in association with Soft Touch Arts to hold “A Touch of Community” dining event. All proceeds went to equip the new sMASHing kitchen at 50 New Walk, as part of the refurbishment of Leicester’s first youth arts and heritage centre.

Lauren is a young artist and arts project worker for Soft Touch and as part of Leicester’s Diwali celebrations, we commissioned Lauren to produce a digital projection piece which incorporates imagery and lights inspired by Diwali.
