Style Your Space is now into into its fourth programme, and is continuing to go from strength to strength. The current class is attended by ten New Parks residents, who have been learning lots of new and interesting techniques to decorate their homes on a budget.
Every week the classroom at New Parks Community Centre is turned from a tidy space to a busy workshop, as learners decorate and upcycle everyday household items to create original pieces of art, clocks, mirrors and murals.
Theory is also taught as part of the course, with topics such as colour pychology and art history taking place in some of the lessons. Learners get to brush up on their IT skills as they use iPads and laptops to research topics and use creative software.
The project has been a great success so far, and all those who have taken part have given great feedback and look forward to their class every Friday morning.
