Current and past projects

Here are some of our current and past projects.

One of the positive sides to starting the massive clear-out required before our move to new premises is the chance to remember past projects, as we review what we need to keep and what needs to go from the vast collection of project-related materials here at Hartopp Road.

In August, Soft Touch Arts held an exhibition at Highcross Leicester in collaboration with graphic design agency, Arch Creative, and sponsored by Kaplan Financial. Of course, this wasn’t just an ordinary exhibition!

The first session has been held of the new three year programme, a partnership between New Parks Library and Soft Touch Arts in the Library.

Young people from New Parks Young Peoples Joint Action Group held the launch of their new anti-bullying video at Curve Theatre on 28th May.

Parents and children got stuck into making a new sculpture for the garden at the New Parks Children’s Centre as a part of the BIG-UP New Parks project year 3.

This pilot project was a partnership between Soft Touch, Historypin and the University of Leicester Library to create a digital archive of photographs and ephemera about Welford Road Stadium, home of the Leicester Tigers rugby union club.
