Creating Opportunity - Changing Lives
A golden sporting giant scaling the Western Fire Station tower was the highlight of the BIG-UP New Parks first year celebration event on 27 July.
The under 8’s area at the annual Summer Sundae Festival was a scary place to be with large insects appearing all over the place frightening both children and adults.
We had an amazing weekend running creative upcycling workshops at the festival, started by Wayne Hemmingway and run this year in association with the Wilderness Festival.
Congratulations to the first group of young people who have completed our volunteer training as part of our BIG-UP programme!
Our beautiful car can now be seen – still in hot pink – but now with added silver flames!
We have been holding a drop in session at New Parks Library where people who are interested in volunteering with us on our BIG-UP program can meet with our BIG–UP volunteer co-ordinator Kelly Grace.
